Just a little under an hour north-east of Perth and nestled in the Darling Range you will find the small town of Wundowie.

It is a beautiful little country town that is expanding as more people move away from the hustle and bustle of city life yet close enough that they can still taste the cappuccino strips of Perth.

We often come across homes with shade sails and in most cases, these are a great cover keeping the area shaded.

However, while they are great during our hot summer months they are not great at keeping the winter rain from saturating whatever is underneath.

The owners of this home in the Perth suburb of Duncraig wanted to update their entertaining area, it felt a bit dated and was in need of a makeover.

Scattered all around Perth are patios that have been converted into sunrooms, extensions, or games rooms.
