WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF SUNPAL® MULTIWALL POLYCARBONATE ROOFING?
SUNPAL® Multiwall is an advanced polycarbonate sheet panel system that can offer a variety of benefits and value-adding features to your property.
ENJOY NATURAL LIGHTING FROM THE AUSSIE SUN
Offering excellent light transmission and temperature regulation, the SUNPAL® Multiwall polycarbonate roofing system allows you to enjoy the outdoors even on cloudy or sweltering hot days.
SUNPAL®’s SolarSmart™ energy-efficient tints break the traditional ratio between light transmission and shading coefficient. By blocking the transmission of harmful UV rays and infrared energy that cause heat buildup, the SUNPAL® Multiwall's sheets transmit ‘cool light’ and help reduce costs associated with cooling and lighting an outside space.
Additionally, SUNPAL® Multiwall’s DiffuserPlus™ double diffusion technology prevents both transmitted and reflected light from excessive glare.
STRAIGHTFORWARD AND FAST INSTALLATION
The interlocking panels, slimline joints and concealed clips and fasteners of the SUNPAL® Multiwall make it an incredibly strong, lightweight and easy-to-install roofing system.
It also has the added benefit of greater weight savings compared to glass of the same thickness due to having a 50.0% reduced load. SUNPAL® Multiwall’s advanced polycarbonate self-fastening system is available in a range of thicknesses of 8mm, 10mm, 18mm and 20mm.
FANTASTIC THERMAL INSULATION AND ABILITY TO ADAPT TO TEMPERATURE
The SUNPAL® Multiwall polycarbonate roofing sheets deliver exceptional thermal insulation to enhance energy conservation and reduce associated emissions.
Its unique polycarbonate sheeting design allows for expansion and contraction in response to changes in temperature, making the SUNPAL® Multiwall roofing system highly adaptable and ideal for use in any Australian climate.
Enjoy unrivalled thermal insulation performance and energy-saving benefits and protect your patio, pergola or carport from the heat of summer and cool of winter.
HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE AGAINST HARSH WEATHER CONDITIONS
The SUNPAL® Multiwall range of polycarbonate panels can withstand very high wind loads and will continue to retain its properties over time, even under the harshest of weather conditions.
The polycarbonate roofing standing seam architectural system is widely used across Australia for its proven design, impact strength, durability levels and superior weather resistance performance.
GUARANTEED 25 YEARS OF PROTECTION AGAINST WATER LEAKAGE
The SUNPAL® Multiwall's construction has been specifically designed to provide superior protection for your outdoor space and provide durability against Australia’s weather elements.
The SUNPAL® architectural roofing panel system's construction consists of high-impact resistance multiwall polycarbonate panels with click-fit edges and an extensive range of leak-proof fastening accessories.
The SUNPAL® Multiwall polycarbonate roofing sheeting panels are guaranteed to be leak-proof for 25 years, meaning you can rest easy knowing that you won't have to worry about rainwater causing damage to your patio, pergola or carport.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT APPLICATIONS IS SUNPAL® MULTIWALL COMMONLY USED FOR?
With its versatile design and cutting-edge technology, SUNPAL® Mutliwall is appropriate for a range of construction projects including patios, pergolas, carport roofing and skylights.
The polycarbonate system offers many advantages that make it ideal for long-term roofing and cladding, including both flat and curved designs.
WHY IS THERE A "UV-SIDE" THAT FACES OUTWARDS IF THE SUNPAL® MULTIWALL POLYCARBONATE ROOFING IS UV RESISTANT?
Polycarbonate roofing sheets block heat and UV radiation by absorbing it. The UV absorption mechanism can cause degradation to the material, and to prevent this from happening, the sheet is coated with a special UV-resistant material. For this reason, we install the SUNPAL® Mutliwall’s polycarbonate UV-resistant roofing sheets with the marked UV protective layer facing outward.
CAN I INSTALL MULTIWALL POLYCARBONATE ROOFING SHEETS HORIZONTALLY FOR SIDING?
No, SUNPAL® Mutliwall’s polycarbonate roofing sheets should always be installed vertically to allow condensation water to drain out by gravity.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUNPAL® MULTIWALL POLYCARBONATE SHEETS AND SOLID POLYCARBONATE SHEETS?
As opposed to solid polycarbonate, the SUNPAL® Multiwall is a multi-cell structured polycarbonate sheet. Due to its multi-cell structure construction, it has superior thermal insulation performance, high impact resistance, and low area weight.
WILL SUNPAL® MULTIWALL'S POLYCARBONATE ROOFING LIGHT TRANSMITTANCE DETERIORATE OVER TIME?
Palram’s polycarbonate roofing sheet range has a UV protection layer that provides greater resistance and durability against photodegradation, colour discolouration, and brittleness.
This protects the polycarbonate roofing sheets from the harmful impact of UV radiation and helps to maintain light transmittance and product durability for many years.
Palram’s products come with a 10-year warranty against loss of light transmittance. Upon special request, Great Aussie patios can provide an enforced UV protection layer with a longer warranty.
HOW DO I CLEAN A POLYCARBONATE SHEET?
-
Never use abrasive or high-alkaline cleaners on polycarbonate sheet products.
-
Do not leave cleaners on a polycarbonate sheet for extended periods of time. Rinse immediately with cold, clean water.
-
Do not apply cleaners in direct sunlight.
-
Never use sharp objects, squeegees or razors on a polycarbonate sheet.
-
Do not clean a polycarbonate sheet with gasoline.
-
Always practice safety first and never step directly on a polycarbonate sheet.
-
Always test cleaners in a small inconspicuous area prior to cleaning the entire polycarbonate sheet to ensure against adverse results.
-
Avoid allowing the pressure washer spray tip to come too close to the polycarbonate sheet. Pressure washers often have enough pressure at the spray tip to penetrate or tear the panel.
-
Avoid dry cleaning as sand and dust particles clinging to the exterior of the polycarbonate sheet may scratch the surface of the flat sheets.
